Network & Systems Specialist - December 5th, 2011

Key responsibilities

  • Identify and resolve complex data/voice networking problems using advanced network analysis tools and techniques.
  • Assist in network maintenance (IOS upgrades etc). Design, deploy and implement advanced networks.
  • Assist in Windows server and workstation maintenance.

Required/Preferred Skills and Experience

  • CCNP or equivalent certification or experience required
  • Minimum 3 years of direct experience in installing and implementing highly available and redundant network infrastructure. 
  • BA/BS degree in Electrical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Intermediate to expert knowledge of Cisco switches and routers
  • Strong understanding of Data Center technologies
  • Strong understanding and hands on experience with routing protocols (BGP, OSPF etc)
  • Experience in VRF, MPLS, NAT, route-maps, etc
  • Strong understanding of IP and traditional telephony technology
  • Experience with WAN technologies
  • Experience in managing/designing/installing a 24/7/365 infrastructure
  • Ethernet switching expert
  • Linux (Centos/RedHat)
  • IPSEC, VPN 
  • MySQL, PostgreSQL
  • Scripting experience
  • Wireshark, tcpdump etc
  • SNMP, WhatsUpGold
  • Virtualization (xen, kvm)
  • Wireless (WLAN controllers, Access points etc)
  • Knowledge/Experience in SIP, SIP trunking, VoIP and asterisk
  • Windows Server 2003/2008
  • Programming experience (C, C++, PHP, Perl and Java) a major plus.

Telecom Internet Sales Engineer - December 5th, 2011

Champaign Telephone Company is looking for a Telecom Internet Sales Engineer with the following skills:
 
  • Knowledge of telephony concepts including VoIP, T1, DS3, MPLS, Managed Voice Service, and call processing systems such as voicemail, unified communications and ACD
  • Strong technical and financial analytical skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Must be comfortable presenting proposals to the executives and engineering staff of a business
  • Must demonstrate proven success managing a long sales cycle while continuing to support current clients
  • This position entails providing ongoing support to clients in the areas of information gathering, technical and financial analysis of existing services, coordination of system and service implementation, and communications with clients and vendors.
The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 3 years direct sales experience with multiple telephony products and services and/or network integration services.
