NETWORK & SYSTEMS SUPPORT SPECIALIST - May 10, 2012

 

CTC, the area's most innovative and dynamic telecommunications company, is looking to fill a full time position on our growing engineering team.

Responsibilities will be to serve as a support specialist to help merge the needs of our network engineering team and telcom programming team.

We understand we are unlikely to find an expert in all desired fields so the ideal candidate will be someone willing to learn. Please take the following list as a guideline, the more you are familiar with, the better.  This is primarily a telephony position with a need to understand networking.

  Desired knowledge and skills:

  * Voice over IP (SIP, IAX2, MGCP, H.323, H.264, SCCP, etc)

 * Apache web server

 * MySQL and PostgreSQL databases

 * Knowledge of various networking protocols (dhcp, dns, tcp/ip, etc)

 * Cisco routers and switches

 * Microsoft Windows workstations and servers

 * Linux

 * Asterisk, Callweaver, Trixbox

Some working knowledge of configuring various IP phones (Aastra, Polycom) and any familiarity with Toshiba CTX/CIX telephone systems is a bonus.
